Quality Engineer
We have an immediate opening for a dynamic person to join our existing quality and design engineers and interact with automotive customers on new product development.
- Reporting to the Quality Manager, the successful candidate is responsible for:
· Representing QA and interacting both internally and with the customers on product development teams.
· Liaison with the customer on quality-related issues & conduct corrective actions.
· Advanced Product Quality Planning activities including APQP documentation, DFMEA & PFMEA development, Control Plans, Inspection Plans, Process Instructions, DVP&R, material and reliability testing with various laboratories, Design & Tool Reviews.
· Internal system audits (IATF-16949 and ISO-14001) including closing out audit findings, creating audits finding reports.
· Creation, approval, and release of material specifications & Operator Work Instruction.
· Initiating/resolving corrective and preventive actions (CPAR) & nonconformance reporting and analysis (NCR)
· Assist in troubleshooting process/quality problems on the shop floor on existing and new products
· The position is normally day shift, however, shift coverage will be required from time to time to assist with product launch or training.
· Process audits on the shop floor to verify manufacturing compliance to process/procedure
· Monitor of new products during the initial production runs
· Possible travel to customer site for a quality concerns, product launch or to suppliers for supplier development audit activity up to 6-12 times per year.
· Conducting their work with an eye towards continuous improvement of the product & process
· Other responsibilities as required
· Candidate MUST HAVE the following credentials / skills:
o be able to currently travel with no restrictions in any country (please note this on your application)
o working knowledge of APQP process: Process Control Plans, PFMEA, Gauge Planning, and all levels of PPAP requirements.
o working knowledge of ISO-9001, IATF-16949 (automotive), and ISO-14001
· Candidate should have the following credentials / skills:
o University Degree within Industrial or Mechanical Engineer (5 or more years of experience)
o Proficient using Microsoft Office for day-to-day work (including Access)
o Attention to detail, ability to adapt to a changing environment, and handle multiple programs with various deliverables & deadlines
o Written and verbal communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively with both management and production personnel
o Strong organization and time management skills
o Energetic, detail-oriented, and customer-focused
o Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
o Candidates with experience in injection molding and/or chrome plating considered an asset
o Flexible in terms of hours of work and trave

Production Machine Operator
We are currently looking for several new employees with production machine operation backgrounds to add to our day and night shifts. We are in the need of additional personnel who have worked in a position of leadership, understand the demands of production and have a firm grasp of both the personnel and quality responsibilities of operating various production equipment.
Candidates will be asked to learn the basics of our operation, including secondary operations and quality aspects associated with thermoforming while learning to trim parts and operate thermoforming machinery.
Candidates will be partnered up with existing machine operators to learn how to operate both rotary and shuttle machines and trim products of varying complexity. Interaction with shift trainers, lead hands, along with current lead operators will expose candidates to the various methods of trimming, quality inspection processes as well as potential defects. Eventually, candidates will learn the basic operation of production equipment and learn how to perform basic troubleshooting of the thermoforming process.
Currently both day and nights shifts are seeking 3 potential machine operators. Day shift is Monday through Thursday 7am to 6pm while Night shift is Monday through Thursday 7pm to 6am.
Neocon offers all full-time employees paid sick leave, 2 weeks' vacation to start and 2 additional personal days. Full time employees are eligible to enroll in the company's benefits package after completion of a standard 3-month probationary period. Neocon also offers its employees enrollment in a Deferred Profit-Sharing Program (DPSP) once they have reached the 6 month mark. Overtime is readily available and is paid after 44 hours.
Compensation will start at a minimum of $17.25 / hour however, fair compensation will be offered to candidates based on their experience in the manufacturing environment and equipment operation.

Quality Technician
Do you want to gain a better understanding of IATF-16949 (Automotive quality standard), help out auditing & improving shop floor processes, and help troubleshoot, document & correct production issues on the shop floor?
- Product and Process Quality Control Activities
- Product & process auditing, and inspection
- Layered process auditing.
- Ensure shifts have all required documentation based on planned schedule.
- Correcting minor issues in the process instructions and recommend changes as required.
- Calibration of inspection and measuring equipment
- Annual Layout Measurements
- Assist with troubleshooting of shop floor issues.
- Organize and document NCR material (bad sheet, etc.)
- Assist with internal sorting for any internal NCR’s (sort for bad trim, missing components, etc.)
- Assist or organize certification as needed.
- Support 5-S and Lean initiatives
- Track / review supplier scrap and send updates to Quality Technician on the day shift.
- Other, as required.
- Highly organized individual in terms of personal time management
- Strong written and verbal communication skills – must be able / willing to interact with multiple levels of Neocon personnel

Production Technician
Production Technicians aid our production team in the assembly processes. Successful candidates will work on the various products including cargo trays, seat back protectors, bumper covers, door scuff protectors, all weather mats, vehicle flooring or learn to operate various secondary production equipment such as beam presses, ultrasonic welders, a CNC machine, a robotic trimmer or even custom-built injection molders.
We are looking for candidates who are punctual, hardworking, reliable, willing to learn and have the ability to communicate with other production staff, quality personnel, lead hand and supervisors.
Attention to detail is a key skill to have at Neocon as each new employee will be learning the quality expectations of various products on the job from other production technicians, mentors and shift trainers. Almost immediately a new employee will be relied upon to recall possible quality defects and make use of a keen eye to ensure defective product is not sent to a customer.
A strong ability to understand written instruction is also a must as all processes and products have very detailed work instructions and process instructions in digital format for all employees to follow.
Finally, the ability to work well with others in a diverse work force is required. Mutual respect and common courtesy go a long way.
Neocon has just switched from 12 hour to 11-hour shifts starting at 7am (Days) or 7pm (Nights). Both day and night shifts run Monday through Thursday 7 to 6. All entry level Production Technician positions start at a recently increased rate of $17.25/hour with overtime paid after the 44 hours. Night shift offers an hourly premium, on hours worked, of $1.75/hour.
